What Causes Boils
By Linda Robsion of Wrinkle Free Skin Tips
What causes boils and why do some people get them more often than others? Basically boils are caused by germs that get into the skin. Boils symptoms usually appear when white blood cells pool into one spot of the skin in an attempt to trap germs and keep them in one place – so they won’t spread to other parts of the body. However, what we see is red swollen circle on the skin with a white pus center. The causes of skin boils, why we get them while others don't is not completely understood. The one thing doctors do know about boils is that they are a type of infection. This infection usually starts in an oil gland or sometimes hair follicle. Also, they usually form in close areas of the body where the skin is rubbed or does not receive much exposure such as the armpits or buttocks -- these are the most common areas. Regardless of where the boil forms treatment is important to reduce the risk of spreading the infection. Draining boils is the most common way to get rid of them. However, you must wait until the boil has formed a head. Pictures of boils that are ready to be drained safely usually look the same – a red area surrounded by hard skin with a white head in the middle. However, if they are infected, it’s a good idea to have a physician drain them as he will prescribe antibiotics for the infection. In addition, never attempt to drain a boil if you have a fever or other medical conditions. If you suffer from boils often consider using home remedies for boils. A natural alternative homeopathic spray is one option. This can help prevent future boils from forming as well provide relief from current boils. The best part is this spray is taken internally, so there are no mess creams to deal with. For more information visit: Home Treatment Of Boils
